Started career at Unilever Ltd followed by Nestle Lanka Ltd prior to graduation. A Chartered Engineer who started engineering career at Sampath Bank as Systems Engineer followed by PillPos Software Plc London UK, Bank of Ceylon UK London Branch, Millennium Information Technologies ( MIT) , Dialog Axiata Plc , Infotel Lanka Ltd / Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka , and Mobitel Pvt Ltd.

Founder President of Moratuwa – Peradeniya Engineers Reunion. Member and coordinator of Presidential Task Force on English and IT Presidential Secretariat , Member of Knowledge Hub Steering committee Presidential Secretariat . Conference Chairman on NITC 2014 – ICT for Inclusive Development.

Successfully led the pilot project to demonstrate world’s first IPTV on MPLS and ADSL in 2003. Pioneered ICT training for Ex-LTTE combatants in rehabilitation camps in association with Bureau Commissioner General Rehabilitation in 2010. In 2013 initiated and established an IT/BPO facility to provide white collar employment for Ex- combatants in Jaffna in a public private partnership with Presidential Secretariat and John Keells Holdings Plc.Represented Sri Lanka Universities at The World Universiry Games UK 1992 in athletics and served as Secretary of Sports Council University of Moratuwa 1992
